We repair any wall or ceiling damage both sheetrock and plaster. Using fast setting joint compound we are able to do any repair in a day. These Joint compounds set up and harden chemically in 5-90 minutes, this allows all coats to be applied in the same trip saving gas and travel time and our environment. Our process is green and aims to minimize fuel usage caused by multiple trips to the jobsite. A sheetrock contractor making 4 trips from Springfield in a workvan is causing 4x the carbon footprint compared to our system on that one job alone. Over a year it adds up to a big difference.

We repair water damage from leaking pipes or roofs, holes cut by plumbers and electricians to access the wall cavity when running new wiring or pipes. In rental units around the colleges we repair dents from moving furniture, door knobs holes, holes caused by drinking and college parties. In owner occupied homes we repair damages from pets scratching at walls. We fix cracks from movement and settling of the structure, and we fix bad taping work from a prior contractor or DIY attempts. We even tape and finish drywall that is installed by the customer.

If you choose to put a claim with homeowners insurance, we can work with them to get your home back to pre loss condition. We price insurance work using the same sheetrock rates as the adjuster and can often work with the total repair cost that they come up with. Sometimes the adjuster doesn't account for hidden damage that we find once opening up the walls and ceilings. If that is the case we can submit a professional claim requesting additional reimbursement along with a detailed breakdown of the additional sheetrock patching work needed. The initial adjuster cost breakdown and check you receive isn't intended to be the final amount. Insurance companies will always reimburse you for the actual out of pocket cost to repair the damage. If you choose to upgrade to a higher tier of sheetrock material you would just have to pay the difference. For example you have laminate counters damaged but want to replace them with granite. In that case they will pay the amount it would cost to replace the counter with a similar laminate counter, and you would cover the difference.
When a Sheetrock Patch Wont Work
If a wall or ceiling has too much damage we usually will choose to replace the whole sheet of drywall rather than make a bunch of sheetrock patches in the existing drywall board. Even if we could repair the existing sheet, we don't want to be seen as a ceiling company that cuts corners. If you have a flood in your basement we remove the entire bottom sheet not just the bottom foot of sheetrock.
Sheetrock Screws Fastened To Proper Depth
Something the last generation of drywall installers didn't realize, is that smooth shank nails do not stay in place. Over time they pull out and cause a nail pop on the sheetrock corners and seams. We always use professional sheetrock screws and sometimes add glue to insure we don't have this problem on our sheetrock patches.

We offer to finish the job with Sherwin Williams quality paints. Allow us to roll two coats of quality paint and turn over the job finished and ready to move furnishings back in.
